2026 Monterey Bay Half Marathon
The enthusiasm for this year’s race has been nothing short of incredible! General registration for the 2026 Monterey Bay Half Marathon SOLD OUT in just eight days.
We also released a limited number of Race Benefactor half marathon entries on June 3rd (Global Running Day) whose proceeds benefitted the work of the 501(c)(3) nonprofit Big Sur Marathon Foundation. These entries SOLD OUT in just 15 minutes.
At this time, the official waitlist is the only opportunity to be considered for entry into the 2026 Monterey Bay Half Marathon.
Please note:
Joining the waitlist does not guarantee entry.
If entries become available, runners will be selected from the waitlist and notified by email.
Selected waitlist runners will have 24 hours to accept their entry before it is offered to the next person on the waitlist.
Participant-to-participant entry transfers are only permitted through the process listed on our website. Illegal bib sales, unofficial transfers, and running using a bib registered to someone else are NOT permitted.

Race Benefactor Entries
To accommodate runners who missed general registration and to support the fundraising efforts of the Big Sur Marathon Foundation, we released a limited number of half marathon entries on Global Running Day, June 3rd at 8 AM PT on a first-come, first-served basis.
Proceeds from these “Race Benefactor” entries directly support the Big Sur Marathon Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose mission is to enrich and empower our community through charitable giving and inspire healthy lifestyles through memorable running experiences.
