The 2020 Monterey Bay Half Marathon, originally scheduled for Saturday November 14th, will now be a virtual event. The Big Sur Marathon Foundation’s governance board made this difficult decision to cancel the in-person road races as they continued to monitor updates on large events from county, state, federal, and international public safety and health agencies during the global coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Our highest priority is always the safety of our participants, volunteers, friends and family, and residents. There are so many unknowns both with this virus and with the effects of it on large events. We were also very concerned about having access to needed public safety and medical officials, volunteers, and personal protection equipment and supplies during this ongoing crisis. The 2020 Health and Fitness Expo is Cancelled

At the Expo, participants in the Half Marathon and 5K will pick up their race bib with attached timing chip, gear check bag, official Race Program and event shirt.  Be sure to bring photo ID (required for bib pick-up).  We will have computers on site for bib look-up and the timing company will be sending bib information during the week prior to the Expo. You may also look up your bib number (once assigned) on your  page at haku.

You must pick up your bib and packet in person; no one else can pick up for you unless a Packet Pick-Up Authorization Form  has been filled out.

There will be vendors, businesses and other race representatives at the Expo offering a variety of fitness apparel and equipment as well as providing health and fitness related demonstrations.
