REGISTRATION and ENTRY LIMITS
2020 Monterey Bay Half Marathon registration has been postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak and resulting “shelter in place” order in the state of California. We are working to determine a new opening date, but our workplace, like many of yours, is closed along with most businesses and governmental agencies for several more weeks. We will continue to update our website and social media channels as new information becomes available, but please be aware that registration will NOT open on March 25th as originally scheduled. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Paper registration forms are not available. If you wish to pay by cash or check, email the registrar on how to proceed. An administrative fee will apply.
Registrants must be 4 years of age or older and in good health to participate. Official 2020 original race numbers are required to take part in the event. For safety and liability reasons, children in strollers may participate if they start in the back. Sorry, but no dogs allowed on course or at the start/finish area in Lovers Point Park.
Bibs and event shirts can be picked up at the Health & Fitness Expo at the Monterey Conference Center on Friday, November 13th from 12 Noon to 6 PM. A photo ID is required for pick-up.
Race morning pick-up is available at Lovers Point Park beginning at 6:30 AM.
START TIME & LOCATION
The 3K begins at 8 AM at Lovers Point Park in Pacific Grove.
On race day, there will be parking in the Pacific Grove public parking lots and on neighborhood streets. Be sure to note any parking enforcement signs and hours.
The course is out-and-back beginning and ending at Lovers Point Park with a turnaround at Coral Street. Runners go west in the inland lane and after turning around, return to the finish in the ocean-side lane. View a 3K course map.
OTHER EVENT INFO
The 3K is a timed but not competitive fun run; there are no “winners” or divisional awards. All participants receive an event shirt and finishers’ medal. There will be refreshments and pre and post-race activities for the kids at Lovers Point Park.
