Event Safety
The Monterey Bay Half Marathon operates on an
Event Alert System (EAS) to help ensure participant safety.

• The weather forecast calls for race-morning temperatures in the mid 50s – low-60s, 5 – 10 mph winds, and partly sunny skies.
• The anticipated EAS Flag Color is GREEN (Low Risk: Good Conditions).
• Trained medical personnel will be on-site for the event
• MBHM maintains close contact with public safety officials. They have not expressed safety or security concerns about the event.
• Any updates regarding weather or safety concerns will be communicated via email to participants.
