Pacific Grove Lighthouse 5K

Registration for the November 10, 2018 Pacific Grove Lighthouse 5K will open on April 2, 2018.

2018 entry fees to be determined. 

Active Duty Military are eligible for a $5.00 discount that may be selected during the registration process. The discount is not applicable for military spouses or dependents. 

The Ocean View Challenge: A Half Marathon and 5K combo package for those who want to run the 5K on Saturday and the Half Marathon on Sunday. Includes a discounted entry fee and a commemorative finisher medallion.


START TIME & LOCATION: 8:30 AM at Lovers Point Park in Pacific Grove

All participants receive a cotton blend unisex sized short-sleeve t-shirt and finisher's medallion. Following the race, there will be refreshments and post-race entertainment at Lovers Point Park in Pacific Grove.

Entrants in the Ocean View Challenge will receive their OVC Medallion after their completion of the Monterey Bay Half Marathon. Look for the OVC and Waves 2 Wine tent at the Half Marathon finish.

PARTICIPANT REQUIREMENTS: You must be five years of age or older and in good health. Race is limited to 1,000 participants, both walkers and runners are welcome. Race numbers are required to take part in the event. No dogs or children in strollers may participate.

WEATHER: Average Temperature: 50° - 60° F. Average Humidity: 30 - 50%

Bibs and event shirts must be picked up at the Health & Fitness Expo on Friday, November 10th. A Photo ID is required for packet pickup. Due to renovations to the Monterey Conference Center, the Expo will be held in the De Anza Rooms at the Portola Hotel & Spa. Hours are noon to 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

If you are unable to pick-up Friday, there will be race morning pick-up at Lovers Point Park in Pacific Grove beginning at 6:30 AM.

REGISTRATION: Online registration is provided by Active.com. You may register online by clicking HERE.  There are no paper registration forms available. If you want to pay by check, email sally@bsim.org on how to proceed. There will be an additional administrative fee of $2 for this type of registration.
CONFIRMATION: If you register online and provide a valid email address, you will be emailed confirmation at the time of registration. Confirmations are generated automatically by Active.com, but firewalls or spam filters on your computer may prevent it from reaching you.  Entries may also be confirmed at the Half Marathon registration link under "Entry Confirmation."  Your information will not be available if you un-clicked the box allowing your info to be searchable at Active.com, if you are under age 18 or if someone else registered you.  A photo ID is required to pick up your bib, chip and race packet.

On race day, there will be parking available in the Pacific Grove public parking lots and on neighborhood streets.  ClickHERE to see the location of the city lots.

COURSE & MAP: The 5K course is USATF certified.  It is an out-and-back course beginning and ending at Lovers Point Park in Pacific Grove with a turn-around near Pt. Pinos. To view a course map, click HERE.           
AWARDS: Awards will go three deep in 5-year age divisions after 5-8, 9-11, 12-14, and 15-19.  There will also be an award for the overall male and female and the overall masters (age 40 and over) male and female runners. Double-dipping is permitted (overall winners are eligible for divisional awards).  The awards ceremony will take place at Lovers Point Park beginning at 9:30 AM.
